In early February I had the opportunity of working with Ariel McFarlane for a second time, but this time it was more of a concept shoot than fashion. My Creative Assistant Tanisha Ennis had been saving wine bottles for the concept we had in mind. It took quite a long time to realize this concept and quite a few bottles of wine as we had to get enough bottles to pull it off. I must admit I didn’t mind drinking some wine in the name of creativity lol! So after accruing a substantial amount of wine bottles we were almost set to go. We contacted Ariel, who also did us a huge favor and secured two wonderful black dresses from an amazing Jamaican designer House of Neahlis! Big thank you to Ariel making the link and to House of Neahlis for allowing us to use those two beautiful dresses from her collection. Tanisha also volunteered one of her dresses from another talented designer Franz Christie. We contacted Antoinette “Sashii” Bailey one again who made the time to help us out on this shoot. No shoot would go smoothly without an assistant or two so we asked a fellow photographer Sean Murray and one of my long time coworkers from my previous job Michael Campbell to help us out on the shoot.
We chose an old abandoned building in the historic Port Royal as our location as it would fit in with the somewhat darker tone of the shoot. After a bit of cleaning up we got our lighting gears all set and it was time to shoot! We had an awesome shoot with even more amazing photographs! I want to say thanks to everyone in the team for helping out to make the shoot a success! Here are the results of that wonderful shoot and of course the behind the scenes video that gives a glimpse of what goes into getting the wonderful works of art!
