Last week I got the chance to hang out with a wonderful young lady and artist Chantaé. We explored a small portion of the famous Central Park in New York City and took a few photos. She was a bit nervous at first as she wasn’t accustomed to doing portrait photography shoots, however, I kept it casual and really focused on us enjoying the day. Sometimes, it’s not just about capturing beautiful images, but it’s also about making your subject feel comfortable, relaxed and most importantly enjoy their experience with you.
Since it was just the both of us, I kept it very simple, thus opting for natural light and used only my Nikon D800, Nikon 85mm 1.8D and my Nikon 50mm 1.4G lenses for the shoot. Post edit was minimal editing in Lightroom 5 to make the photos pop a little more. We got some wonderful fun photos from our session and had a great time chilling in Central Park on a nice Fall afternoon. Below are the images from the shoot.
“Joel Finnigen made me feel like such a Queen during this shoot! Thanks for making me all prettified, I had a great time creating with you!” -Chantaé
