In early June I, once again, teamed up with one of Jamaica’s most talented makeup artists Sue Gregg for another test portfolio shoot. This time I also had a talented accessory designer Monique Macintosh, the owner of Zola Jamaica Handmade Accessories, who brought some of her creative accessories for the shoot. Our model for the shoot was Mackella Moo-Young, a Jamaican runway and promotions model that I have always wanted to work with. Not having a studio for the shoot, I converted a small living room into our studio for the session. I employed a very simple clamshell lighting using a Paul C. Buff AB800, Fotodiox 16″ beauty dish with grid and added a Nikon SB-700 behind the model for a little separation from our black background (See below). I used my main camera, the Nikon D800, to capture these images as it produces awesome details. Here are the amazing images from the shoot!
